Don’t know why these shots of him trotting away touch me so, but they do. He happily saunters off to play, explore, read the wind and do his other wild things, and he always comes back to his pack, his farmily. Wish I could view him as a detached, wild critter only looking for his next meal and ready to bolt at his first chance, but after following this blog for almost 7 years, I have discovered a few things. In this coyote there is intelligence, thought (reference the “Watching the Sunset” photo in The Shop), intent, trickery, attachment, delight, humor and love… and a few “elf” legs, eggs and elk hearts.
