   great title. animals perhaps see the world this way on a daily basis, a dream within a dream, whereas humans can experience it, i think that animals may have many layers of sounds and images and smells in their thoughts where… we might use complex word concepts to define our world…their world might be much much more like a dream, a dream within a dream, and so on.

   @ Scotty: interesting idea. Because animals (mostly, though the line seems to be blurring as more info comes in) don’t have our level of mental abstraction, they perhaps don’t draw the same distinctions between “dreaming” and “awake” as we do.

   A Chris Claremont character once said, “There are no dreams. There are only different levels, different colors, different… tastes of reality.”
