Coyotes really are beautiful creatures. I stumbled on this site a little while back, and can I say that I LOVE Charlie!

Reminds me of a story a LONG time ago – we were vacationing in Colorado and were touring the back roads in our Jeep that was having break issues. Not a good thing in some places…. Anyway, we met up with this native American and ate lunch with him. He lived on the mountains herding sheep with his beautful horse.

Later that day, when we were having to repair the Jeep with some wire we found in one of the old mines, he came up on us and said “I see you, you no see me. You need AAA.” Not something you want to hear when you and your dad are under a jeep in the rocks trying to fix a brake line issue with WIRE. He had seen us nearly slide off the side of the mountain.

Charlie looks like he is saying “I see you, you no see me.” in this photo.

Don’t know if you’ll read this.

I had better luck with Disk Warrior as a diagnostic and repair. Never did any good once the drive had crashed, but that’s just me and could be I just didn’t know what to do. If I recall you had to have in installed and you needed a second machine to diagnose and repair the crashed one. I never had that setup.

Disk Warrior is good, but if your hard drive is toast nothing will help. If your disk drive is a few years old it could be gone. They could last 5 years or die in a few months. There is no guarantee. I was lucky the last time. I had backed up fairly recently and the woman at the Apple Genius bar was able to access my harddrive and get it limping along long enough so I could get the most recent, unbacked stuff off it. Mostly desktop stuff. I had brought my external harddrive with me just in case. And my laptop was still under warranty (extended) and that covered a new harddrive. It was less than 3 years old.

So while Disk Warrior might help, if your drive is shot, you’re looking at a new harddrive and restore.
