What a lovely shot! He is just a beautiful animal, and the light plays off his markings perfectly in this photo. I’m absolutely fascinated by his direct, confident gaze – it’s as if he is studying you just as carefully as you are him. Thanks–

Makes me think of Gerald Manley Hopkins poem about praising God for dappled things and:
All things counter, original, spare, strange;
Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)
With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim;
