He looks like our squirrels , I think we are going to get a cold winter.
I would say his coat is about 2″ thick. Have good day charlie.

Hmmm, I’m going with a little chubby. Those are rolls on his shoulders. Still handsome as ever, though.

Its fluff.
It was all fluff on my 20 pound cat too ;)

Both this picture and yesterday’s picture were taken in October, 2012. Yesterday’s doesn’t show such heftiness. I think it is fast growing fluff.

Considering how lean he’s shown to be after shedding, unless his diet has changed a lot recently, I’d have to say fluff. Though I’m sure Charlie would be happy to actually bulk up if his Alpha would indulge him.

This seems to be a classic, “Does my fur make me look fat?” question. Animals do add extra insulation before the onset of winter, so I’d go with layers of fur and maybe a little “extra” insulation besides:)

I just want to run my fingers through all that fluff. I bet he is sooooo soft!
December 19th, 2012 at 10:12 pm
Fluff Me Up! Charlie hasn’t an ounce of fat on his body.
December 20th, 2012 at 12:34 pm
LOL. Maybe a little of both :)

Hm. He is looking a little poofy.
But a little more chunk in the winter is OK. He’ll live off of it and run it off in the Spring.
Does this mean a cold winter?

Ha. Can’t imagine an ounce of fat on any coyote anywhere, including Charlie.

This years large fur coat is next years spin, weave, knit and crochet! Well if you get down on ityou can become “Shreve the Weave” ;-()

Charlie,
I’ve rethought my position. I apologize for suggesting “chubby.” This is clearly winter fluff and fur. I’m sorry.

Winter poof.
Like a dandelion.
Careful he doesn’t catch a strong wind and get airborne!
