Is it snow, or a rodent? That little squiggly thing looks like a mouse tail perhaps?

It’s a jerky treat (homemade – I’m so nervous about all the recalls I don’t buy the storebought kind anymore) covered in snow!

WOW by Charlies expression, you got a new winner bet the shop would sell out of them, however the rules and regulations of the USDA are so bizarre and byzantine they would drive even Super Shreve insane, I know, A friend and I were going to take over a smokehouse business, the paperwork alone was a 26 hr day job and we were also working in his bakery (Yes we made Spelt bread, had to drop it as Maine had a low market and without the preservatives a limited shelf life).

Okaaaaaaaaaay, so the winter treat picture before was jerky. I thought it might be a critter poopscicle. I can always tell what animal left it because my dogs roll in – pig, fox and otter and eat bobcat scat. And of course if it’s coyote scat my male dog has to leave a message and scratch up a storm!
Do Charlie and Chloe show any interest in elk leavings?
