I imagine his shorter fur to be courseer than on a dog. His longer fur very thick. He is a magnificent looking animal. Love the guyliner too.

Gorgeous colors, even his eyes are coordinated to the color of his soft fur. He’s a heartache all right. You are so blessed to be able to mingle with him on a daily basis.

As a K9 trainer, when I select a K9 to be trained as a drug, explosives, patrol, search and rescue canine, the very first thing I look at, are the eyes, the eyes, pass on volumes of information, of course, I’m evaluating the K9 in other areas

Sorry folks, have to continue my above comments, I was typing on my smart phone and of course pressed a wrong key, which sent the above comments, but I was not finished….
I’ll pick up where I ended above.
I’m evaluating the K9 in other areas as well, body language, it’s critical to be able to read the body language of a canine for your understanding of his her communication to you and the world.
With Charlie, he displays a great deal of confidence in his eyes, he had the same display as a pup, however; as pups, there are many new things in their lives which are new and will shy away from at times, but will learn to deal with it as time moves on and they realize it’s not a threat . Looking at his pictures as he has grown, he now displays a greater deal of pride and confidence in his eyes. Shreve has helped him deal with those questions in his mind regarding what should and should not be confronted by him. Stay away from those SKUNKS!!!
Coyotes, like wolves, will observe from a distance, study someone or something at a distance, not getting too close, some folks would say this is fear, it’s intelligence being displayed by the coyote or wolf, knowing if they get too close, it could be harmful….I’ll end here….It’s a passion for me, reading the body language of a canine and training them to be a future hero……in our communities, or a hero in Iraq and Afghanistan finding explosives and bombs……I’ve taken many many pictures over the past 40 years of Canines and just their eyes, they tell so much…..Charlie has very facinating intelligent speaking eyes!
