What a lovely shot! Charlie must be the photographed pet (not to mention coyote!) ever, and you have opened a lot of minds to the value of his kind. We have coyotes all around us, and I used to think about them principally as a threat to our pets, but now I find myself fascinated with catching a glimpse of one. I never do, though – we hear their howls all the time – very close – but they co-exist without bothering anyone or being observed. Anyway, thanks for your lovely shots – they entertain us, show us glimpses of a creature we wouldn’t otherwise see, and let us vicariously experience life in your beautiful corner of the world.

i hesitate to use the word awesome, because it is so overused these days, but i can’t find another word that is as fitting. every hair so perfectly colored and placed. and his bright spirit shining. i am in awe at the magic of him as a creation. and feel blessed to be here to witness the magic of this earth. thanks. love to you.

A long time follower of your blog and Charlie and the rest of the animals, I’ve enjoyed and smiled, if not laughed at some of the antics portrayed in the photos. But this one, and its title, ‘Of the Earth’, somehow seems extra special–noteworthy. Thanks for posting it (perhaps consider making a small print of this for your shop?).

Prints are coming back to the shop – I’ve been doing some rearranging. 2014 Calendars and prints will be available mid-October!
