If Charlie will let you hug him, please hug him tight today. I had to put my cat, Cathy, to sleep last Monday, and she was to me what Charlie is to you.

Thinking about you and Charlie all the time, even if I don’t check in. xox

Please accept my sincerest condolences. I don’t keep up with your blogs as much as I used to but always read the emails so I knew Charlie had passed on…and my heart broke for you and myself too. I can’t tell you how many people I have told about your story, your farmily, your blogs, your books and the “Grab It And Stab It” I bought many years ago. Thank you for sharing your story and, as importantly, your outlook and wise words on life and death. I am so sorry for your loss. Much love from a stranger-friend.

So beautiful! More than just a coyote, he was a soul.

I sit here weeping for the coyote pup Charlie I came to love, as I just finished reading your lovely book “The Daily Coyote.” Please write another book about his life, its as if I need more of Charlie…thank you for sharing your dedication to raising Charlie, your book, The Daily Coyote will be one of the best books I have ever read. I live in Arizona where folks have encroached on the Coyote territory to such an extreme extent, and they are seen as the “enemy,” but really they remind me of a pup just hungry and trying to survive as they know. Thank you again for your “Charlie” story, it will stay with me for ever and I look forward to reading more of your writing.
