   It’s been a long week, and I wish I could just lie down next to him and relax under the open sky. Maybe run my fingers through his fur if he’d let me. (Yes, I know he’d already be long gone.) You’re very fortunate to have so many wonderful companions. Please give him a scratch behind the ears for me.

   Ditto on the scratch behind the ears. His fur looks so soft and nuzzleable, which is totally a word.

   I just finished reading your wonderful book, so this is my first submission to the daily coyote website. I read the book for a book group. We will be discussing it this Thursday evening. Love all the pictures!!
