Love this – thank you so very much for capturing these two darlings howling together. Everyone said it so well: ten stars, amazing composition, shadows, warm colors… wow.
I like how Chloe-the-surfer-girl-hound is standing firm and steady, solidly rooted to the ground, while Charlie is practically “en pointe” with his delicate, athletic stance. He treads so lightly and is so fast – he must seem like a phantom sometimes, especially with his trickster antics. (I still remember the ice cubes and the faucet while you were trying to write your first book, and it still makes me grin.)

Wow! I’ve seen a lot of pictures of coyotes and wolves howling, but this is the most awesome.

Hi Shreve-this photo just popped up-I had not seen before-wow I love that they are both howling together-what a friendship (love) they had -just so special and amazing, as your life with Charlie was-AMAZING!! I give you all the credit as your love for all the animals transcended across all people and species and all animals-they learned to love each other from you!!!!! I know you have not been online for some time as I check in each day-I hope all is well with you, Mike and the farmily. I know this is a difficult month so wanted you to know I’m thinking about you, and of course Charlie-he was so wonderful-I have loved seeing all the photos and reading all the captions and your words as well. I have your books and LOVE them all !!!!!! I purchased a few of your photos of Charlie over the years-have them framed and displayed proudly. I had hoped you would offer that again, but I do purchase the calendars so have those framed and LOVE them too!!!! I do hope you will continue with the calendar. Please take care of yourself-Jill
