    Awww man…. <3

I know he'd never let me get close enough to pet him, but pics like this just give me all the feels…

Shreve, have there been situations where Charlie had the time to warm up to a stranger, and how long does it tend to take?

  2. shreve Says:

A ~ Nope… he has a very distinct territorial bark and tells all strangers to get the heck out of his sight, and doesn’t stop until they leave!

  3. Andy Says:

    Sadness. :/

Does that mean he’s over the “running away and watching from a distance” phase with regards to when strangers show up?

  4. shreve Says:

A ~ He’s only seen if he wants to be seen. And I go to great lengths to make sure strangers don’t “show up” – we have both been traumatized by that happening in the past and I assumed you meant situations like my parents visiting, etc.

My gosh, what a picture! It does make you feel like you just want to hug him!

    Healthiest looking coyote ever!

  7. Sandy G. Says:

He is so cute! All of that fluff and those golden eyes! And a loving look in those eyes.

  8. BB/VA Says:

Of course! He’s looking at Shreve!

Charlie – you remain stunning as ever. You’re a beauty. And your “momma” takes photos of you that do you justice. <3

what a picture!! related to your point of him being seen only if he wants to be seen – i went to a lecture by my county mammal expert for the county parks system – he was studying the prevalence of coyotes in the county – in over 20 years, he’d only seen them 3 times and he knew where they were, the good times of the day to have the best chance to find them, etc. i hike many of the same areas – i always wonder if I’m being watched. I did see one walking across a semi-frozen creek when i was driving over a bridge – so happy to see him/her!
