   It’s probably one of his stuffies that has some weeds stuck to it..

   I think it’s a frozen coyote-toy (as opposed to a doggie-toy), but I think the weeds are growing up out of the snow in front of him (see the ones behind Charlie that appear to do the same?), and the stalk seems almost to vanish in the glare. Interesting!
