photo taken February 9, 2009 • title thanks to Janie

Maybe because it’s how I plan to spend my day today, but I was drawn to the short, simple, single-word title of yours, Janie.  Others that made it to the verrrry end:
Be the bush. BE the bush……….
Chilly Willy
Snug as a bug on winter’s rug
Now is the Winter of His Content
To be, or not to be…
Freeze Frame
Angle of Repose
Chase…. or chill?   That is the question……
”                                 ”  (Get it ? ?   –  ”He’s too cool for words”)

Thanks everyone!  Hope your day is simple & chill as well ~

• • • Howdy howdy!  Mondays = madness ’round these parts with a weekly caption contest, though I think I’m the biggest winner in this deal as I am SO entertained and wildly impressed each week by your utter brilliance, wit, and cleverness.  But enough gushing.  Post your title, caption, or Charlie thought-bubble for this image in the comment section of this post and you’re in the running to win!  The prize this week is an 8 x 10 print of one of my favorite shots of Charlie ~ it looks like he’s running to win ~ see it HERE ~ then come back and enter!

“What Sort Of Space Is It Which Makes Us Solitary?”

“With No Exertion Of The Legs”

From: “This whole earth which we inhabit is but a point in space. How far apart, think you, dwell the two most distant inhabitants of yonder star, the breadth of whose disk cannot be appreciated by our instruments? Why should I feel lonely? Is not our planet in the Milky Way? This which you put seems to me not to be the most important question. What sort of space is that which separates a man from his fellows and makes him solitary? I have found that no exertion of the legs can bring two minds much nearer to one another.” [Henry David Thoreau]
