    Ethereal. Magical. Every inch the Trickster / Teacher of myth. And I speak as an atheist and a skeptic :)

    Makes me think of the crane in Japanese myth, who was also a trickster / shapeshifter.

    Some years ago, I startled a small octopus in a tidepool. It jetted to a deeper part of the pool and changed color / texture so exactly that it literally vanished before my eyes. You seem to have caught Charlie in the moment of transition, both here / not-here.

    A testament to your subject and your skill.

    I like the almost abstract-expressionism you get from partial white-out conditions. I’m partial to snowscape scenery and animals, having been brought up with that.

    The cool thing is how so many animals look alike in partial white-out. His white neck ruff dissappears and makes the upper part of his face look cat-like.
