There was an article in time magazine a few weeks ago about how to tell if animals are happy. In particular, dogs, cats, wild animals not roaming wild, birds, etc. who live with people. Clearly, Charlie is happy. It’s all over his face.

I am awed by your ability to come up with the perfect captions to your photos. Every day I say to myself “she’ll never top this one!”

I have just recently found your book and and was so engrossed in it. I immediately ordered your second book and loving it. I, too, have lost horses, dogs, and cats that were(are) my family. One of my favorite quote is from Winnie the Pooh…How lucky I am to have something that make saying good bye so hard. I have always felt it a privilege to share with an animal. And yesterday I read this quote…Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.” Jamie Anderson Thank you for telling us of your journeys. God bless and God speed.
