Just finished reading your book. Loved every page. I’m an animal lover also. We have five rescued cats and two rescued cattle dogs. A blue named, Buck and a red named Rosie. They keep me on my toes but nothing like Charlie did with you. Loved the bond you had with him even during the tough times when he was a challenge. I admire you for keeping your composure when he became a bit testy. When I was young we raised a raccoon, a skunk and had farm animals. Life just wouldn’t be the same without a critter or six around. BTW, your photographs are lovely.
